According to the Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, the government has shortlisted 9,371 applicants, who will undergo a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Successful candidates will then be invited for an oral interview, after which the top performers will be hired ¹.

The recruitment process has been designed to be transparent and merit-based, ensuring that only the most qualified candidates are selected. This move is part of the state government's efforts to strengthen its education sector and provide quality education to its citizens ¹.

The increased recruitment quota is also a response to the rising number of student enrollments in public schools, driven by the state's free and compulsory education policy. By hiring more teachers, the government aims to improve the teacher-student ratio and provide a more conducive learning environment ¹.
