Honouring the Bond with Bende Traditional Rulers

Some may need these pictures tomorrow, so I’m reposting them with heartfelt appreciation.

While serving as the Deputy Chairman of Bende Local Government Area, I was deeply honoured by two respected royal fathers in our land moments I still treasure today.

HRH Eze Ukwakwe Ukaegbu graciously conferred on me the title of “Agunwa I of Bende.”while HRH Eze Patrick Ukaegbu bestowed on me the title of “Ochina Nwata I of Umusiobu Community in Bende.”

I remember the words they spoke to me yesterday and I hold them dear. My relationship with the traditional rulers in Bende remains strong and respectful, and I do not take that for granted.

Each time I see them or go to greet them, I go on my knees not just as a sign of respect, but because they are more than traditional rulers to me. They are great fathers, and I honour them deeply.

PUO.
