Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has appointed Hon. Ismaila Ahmed Gadaka as the new Emir of Gudi, following the death of the former Emir, Alhaji Isa Bunuwa Madugu Ibn Kaji. The appointment was announced in a statement by Shuaibu Abdullahi, Press Secretary to the Secretary to the Yobe State Government.

Ismaila Gadaka brings a wealth of experience to the traditional stool, having served in various capacities:
- *Public Service*: He represented the Fika/Fune federal constituency in the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2019 and served as Yobe State Commissioner from 2007 to 2010.
- *Education*: Gadaka is the current Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal College of Education in Kebbi State.
- *Banking Career*: Before entering politics, he worked at United Bank for Africa (UBA) and Standard Trust Bank, rising to the position of Business Manager.
- *Traditional Title*: Gadaka previously held the traditional title of Yariman Gudi (Prince of Gudi).
