Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has stated that the recent surge of defections from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has validated the actions of former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and the G-5 governors, who were previously labeled as traitors. Fayose believes Wike's foresight about the challenges within the PDP has been confirmed by the mass defections, saying "What others failed to see, Wike recognized much earlier" ¹ ².
