The Lagos State Government has intensified efforts to curb street trading, with the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Taskforce clearing illegal stalls on Marina, Davies Street, and Breadfruit Street. The operation aimed to restore order and ease traffic congestion in the area.
According to the Taskforce Chairman, CSP Adetayo Akerele, the enforcement exercise was part of ongoing efforts to rid the state of street trading and environmental infractions. Traders found guilty may face prosecution, and their goods will be confiscated ¹.
