The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its counterterrorism and anti-banditry operations, launching precision airstrikes that neutralized Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists and bandits across Borno, Kwara, Katsina, Zamfara, and Kaduna States.
According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, the operations were conducted on November 9, 2025, under Operation HADIN KAI and Operation FANSAN YAMMA, aiming to degrade terrorist and criminal networks in Nigeria's northern regions.
In Borno State, NAF air interdiction missions targeted ISWAP strongholds in Mallam Fatori and Shuwaram, destroying hideouts, logistics hubs, and weapons storage facilities. The strikes killed several terrorists and disrupted their mobility and supply chains.
Similar operations in Kwara State destroyed bandit camps in Garin Dandi and Chigogo, inflicting heavy casualties. In Katsina State, NAF aircraft struck Zango Hill, a known hideout of a terrorist kingpin, destroying logistics facilities and neutralizing fighters ¹ ² ³.
